Razor looked down at the horse's mane as his head bobbed up and down at a leisurely pace. He looked over at Colin, his eyes intent. "I can't change the mistakes I've made. But I promise you, from this day forward, I will stand by you."
"We'll see if you mean that," Colin replied.
He almost retorted at that, but realised quickly that Colin was right. "Yes. We will." Colin looked at him for a beat.
"Look, boys and girls! Home!" Zero called out, ever the showman. The others, military, civilian, all, cheered at this, Colin and Razor among them.
As soon as they arrived, Zero was called away, leaving Razor to organise the unpacking. Several rushed hellos were exchanged as he entered the Queen's office, the doors slamming shut behind him.
He left the room deep in conversation with Cain. An arm went around him, giving his nape a squeeze. "She'll be ok," Zero assured him. He smiled at the princesses observing them. "Now, there's a sight for sore eyes."
"We were taking care of the new arrivals," Cassandra explained, slipping her arm into Cain's, while Azkadellia slipped hers through Zero's.
"Leaving soon?" Azkadellia asked him.
"My guys are getting downtime. So I've got a day or so." He grinned at her before turning back to Cain, who was nowhere to be seen. He couldn't see Cassandra either. "I should be worried."
"Yes, you should," Az responded, suggestion in her voice.
He turned to her and found himself pulled into a kiss. "I've got to figure out teleportation," she moaned into the kiss.
"Old fashioned way," he smirked and pulled her down the corridor. She laughed as she ran behind him.
